Printing PPE

Some people were wondering why I haven’t talked much about 3d printing lately. The reason is I’m back to printing PPE, so not a lot to update on. I got a request from a local hospital system to print more ear savers, so I’m back to cranking those out. They requested 1000, but I’m printing some extras to help cover some local clinics and doctors offices as well.
This time around I’m printing this design by Brendon: https://3dprint.nih.gov/discover/3dpx-013978

All
in PETG, I’m printing 0.3mm layers @ 100mm/s gives me 8 every 35 minutes per railcore. I have 3 machines going throughout the day printing these. Once I complete enough to fill all the orders, I’ll print a stockpile of extras to keep on hand in case someone needs more there’s not such a long delay.
