Weekend Plans

Well, my weekend plans are set. While working on the steering shaft for my jeep I noticed that the sway bar links weren’t even solidly bolted on, and one is actually bent! They appear to be the original swaybar links, but chopped and an extension welded in. The castle nuts and pins are entirely missing. I also noticed the bushings have dry rotted.

So I’ve purchased new JKS quick-release swaybar links that will fit my lift, as well as new swaybar bushings, castle nuts, and pins. I’m also going to replace the speedometer cable while I’m working on things. To get the work done properly I needed a new torque wrench, breaker bar, and torx bit set.
