Jeep Sway Bar Links and Speedometer Cable Replacement

Tackled the sway bar links and Speedometer cable on the jeep. First up was the Sway Bar. Getting the old one out was the worst part of it.

The old bushings were totally dry rotted and shot. The old links were rusted, one had a bent end. Interestingly, the new JKS links were a bit shorter, despite saying they’re made for Jeeps with up to a 6” lift. (Mine has a 4” spring lift)

Took it around town a couple of times afterwords. The sway bar links/bushings tightened up the steering even more. I’m looking into if those links are still too short, though. The bar sits lower than I’ve read it should.
The speedometer cable made a marginal improvement to the speedometer itself. More interestingly, for the first time since I bought my jeep, the odometer now turns. That was rather unexpected!
