A weekend of printing on the Mini

The Railcore mini is finally mostly “locked down” in design. As much as any RailCore design is ever really locked down, anyway. It took a while for the final components to arrive (PSU and power connector). Some minor changes did surface once they were installed, but nothing that should hold up finalization of the design and generation of the BOM.

Now that the printer is finally fully built and has power, it was time to “kick the tires” with some prints. I went with models by Loubie3d, all can be found on her My Mini Factory page.

The weekend’s collection - all printed with a 0.3mm nozzle on the RailCore Mini. The wolf was printed at a 0.2mm layer height, the rest printed at a 0.15mm layer height, all at 70mm/s.

Next Steps for the RailCore Mini are for Steve to finalize the BOM while I build out the “final” Fusion 360 model for sharing to the public. (Yes, it will be entirely “open” just as the RailCore always has been)
